In the 2010 review the price is £142.The guy bought it off the shelf for £ 120.Prices have risen sharply and VAT has gone up and Galaxy sold me this for £115 superb service and value for money,and they had to order it in.

Ive been looking at the under carriage this morning.The support at the back needs a little bending to line it up but the angle is wrong to slide into the hole.Its akward because you are putting the main rod into the hole in the wing through the plinth and the support into the plinth with the angle wrong at the same time.My easiest fix is to drill the support hole bigger so I have clearance and fill with ipoxy afterwards

The for using epoxy eric is to make it a firm fit,Ive plenty of time to cogitate though havent I

I spent the evening check the uc out again.Careful inspection reveals that it shows the plynth glued into posirion before fitting the u/c itself.On the instruction book drawing you can see thay actually cut the side out of the plynth,and this allows enough movement to slide the u/c into the slot and the support into its hole.In fact when I test fitted it it such a tight fit I had trouble removing it.Im now satisfied that fitting the u/c weill not hold me up so its all back in the box waiting the day.I took a couple more photos including the engine Im going to use which I retrieved from storage.

Ive put the Sparrowhawk away in its box for now and towards Christmas will set it out having gathered everything I need to try and build it ready for its maiden flight by the end of the day. I will also cook a full Christmas Dinner with my spare hand and post the build during the day.The first post is when I bother to get up.

I seriuosly considered looking for a 46 size ARTF to build electric this Christmas day especially due to problems at the site.But then I came to my senses and bought the Sparrowhawk with a view to go the proper way and go IC.

I Have decided that I needed a different Pilot than thr kit guy for the Sparrowhawk.So armed with torch and Screwdriver Ive been down to the shed and extricated a guy I fitted into a Sea Fury.I decided to use a different Fuselage having acquired a spare and put this special Pilot into the fuselage Im not now using so he was in the redundant one.He will be along later for a photoshoot and autograph signing afterwards.

Ive decided to call him Lord Peter the Pilot because he does look a bit of a snob.Ive stahed the Sparrowhawk in its box in a coener of my bedroom.I woke up this morning to see it staring at me saying build me build me ,like in the cheese advert I must resist.Last night I was sorting out a selection of leads to ensure I have plenty available and also a good switch.
