you cannot move the wheels they are fitted to a plinth and have a support on them that prevents movement.The wheels are very big,the field is at its worst at present with worm mounds ,grass needs a cut ,and wet.so I think the tipping wont be a problem.I added 50 grams to the front but will need to mark the C of G.I thought it was ok ,but it was difficult to do at the field,so will be checking it again.It wasnt me that landed.Ill wait a couple of flights yet,but get everything right first.

I may have come up with the answer,the C of G is right,but Im using a 6 volt battery which is making the elevator move faster but not affecting the aileron or rudder because of the settings and think if I go back to 4,2 volt it may be OK as the servos work faster on 6 v.

I don't think that's going to help Stephen, I doubt you'll notice the speed response difference in real time, I'd try 40% expo and see what happens. That should really soften it down in flight. You could also give the elevator dual rates with 50% travel and no Expo. So that once you're in the air and got some height you can switch over.
To recap, full rates = full travel + 40% Expo
Half rates = half travel + 0% Expo.

Do it now, you may never get another chance

Youve made my head hurt,and yes your right about battery.Im going to readjust everything first and go from there.A friend of Ken Anderson has been in touch and given me some pointers and he has no probs with his and no need for expo

Havent flown this one since.Im waiting for the weather to improve.It could be we needed extra elevator to take off because of the wet muddy grass.So I will try when its dry.

That's not going to make the slightest bit of difference.
The servo's may move faster on a higher voltage but they are only tracking how you move the sticks.... unless you're Ali what'shisname you'll not notice any difference.

Still considering the elevator and in need of advise.The elevator end horn is no adjutable,but there are arms on the servo ends,2 servos.What affect is made by moving the pushrods to the inside hole of the servo arm from the outside.Would it make the elevator movement more gentle.I can readjust throw on my transmitter to Seagulls recomendations,wondering if this would make them less responsive.

If you move the pushrod towards the centre of the servo, the elevator movement would be less. Be careful with this howerver as you can get to a situation where you have not got enough elevator for good control. Depending on the TX you use and if it has the facility , use expo, which will soften the action of the stick. I had to do this with the Spit

Also, If there is the tiniest bit of slack where the clevis fits into the servo arm, this will become more noticeable when on a shorter servo arm or shorter horn.
It will give you more elevator "Slop".

Gone to plan "C".I checked the elevator controls and settings.Ive re adjusted the sevo arms first to centralise them.Ive then made the elevator horns shorter by screwing them down the horn bolt ten turns.Ive moved the push rods in on the servo arms and readjusted the pushrods. Ive reduced the up elevator by 20 % . This should make the elevator more gentle hopefully.

Ive been reading my thread on RCMand E and a couple of friends ther 1 being Ken Anderson are also telling me that the Seagull C of G at 75mm from the leading edge at the tip is wrong,they have said it should be 110mm,which will also have an effect on the elevator I believe. Im just going to check this out.
