I've never had a glitch or any range problems, and as I fly gliders when the weather permits, they can be a long way away.
There are also plug-in modules that can tell you how high the model is, whether it is going up or down, how much battery you have left, and many other useful things, via telemetry, so your transmitter talks to you, givng the info - either at set intervals, as selected by you, or on demand, when you flick a switch.
One receiver gives you eight independant servo channels - but you can plug two receivers together and have sixteen. In the basic set-up, you have four channels on sticks, two on rotating knobs, and two on sliders - but you can allocate any switch or secondary channel to any function, and mix anything to anything!
You can confuse yourself with all the options!
The best bit is - they are a fraction of the price of a similar Futaba set!

M56 junc 11 for the A56 Preston Brook and Daresbury
Take Warrington road past Daresbury Ind Est, about 1/2 mile on right - sign for Norcott Brook and Whitley -Watch your speed, lots of 30 mph road-works with temporary lights in progress!!! past bus shelter - about 50 yards to stone outcrop, turn right again, 200 yards, turn sharp left - Newton Lane. We're just before the bridge over the motorway - after a narrow bit and a little pond - turn left, through farm gates. If they're open, someone's in. Follow the hard track to the far end, you'll see the cabins etc. - - Sundays are best for visiting.

We're just outside Daresbury village. There is a hamlet called Hatton on the map, north of us.
The halton bit comes from when this club was first formed, in a town called halton! (and not RAF HALTON, which is a very different place!)
