Then thrown in any additional 'sanctions' that China might add due to the UK criticism of their human rights abuses.
The 'slow boat' from China isn't likely to get any quicker or cheaper.
Electric automotive battery technology relies almost entirely on Lithium and guess which country has the largest deposits!

I sincerely hope not, but of course it could be ! Perhaps I picked the wrong time to order, that would be par for the course. :( At the moment it's becoming increasingly difficult to source parts. Hobbyking & Motion rc are probably the biggest European stores, & both of them have hardly any stock. The Uk is out of the equation, due to the EU imposing quite ridiculous taxes, that leaves China, & even that's looking iffy now ! :pinch: Well not much I can do about it, just have to be patient I suppose.

Some more progress on the Mk 2 Viggen. The fan arrived quicker than expected, which was a bonus. I haven't had a lot of time to work on it lately, so it's been a bit stop start, but coming together now. Using a combination of the two different foams has made a huge difference in weight, whilst still retaining strength. I decided to use the foamboard for the wing, as I believe it will be less prone to warp. The exhaust thrust tube is a slightly modified cardboard cup, which just happens to give the exact exhaust diameter. The Mk1 weighs 1032g , the Mk2 791g ( plus the rx ) a saving of 241g ! Or put another way, about the same as one of Simon's entire models !

My models look like that when they've been in the loft for a while! [badass]

Do it now, you may never get another chance
