Eric is right about your username, would you like me to change it to "Stewart Marsden" or even just "Stewart" if you want?
Whatever I change it to will also alter what you have to use to log in, .... I could change it to Stewart Marsden and your log in details would simply be your name and your password ..... How would that suit?
I hope you enjoy the site. ..... Pol. [badass]
I just own the forum .... you guys make it great thanks.

My interest is in free flight/vintage, I've just built my first (after many years) model, a rather scruffy west wings Swallow, despite being a artist (mainly aviation....I'll post some pictures if anyone interested) it seems my balsa bashing skills need refreshing!!! .
Got loads of questions.... guess I should post them in the free flight section? Please be gentle with me
balsa is best.

Whilst the majority of posts here are RC related most of us are old enough to have done most forms of aero modelling (and not just aircraft either!) so I am sure your pictures would be of interest as would some of your Swallow.
Do you have somewhere to fly it?
I myself have spent quite a few hours flying a full size Swallow many years ago, even did my 5 hours Silver C duration badge ridge soaring in one!

I guess the best place to post some pictures of my paintings is on the general chat section?

I'm going through a good spell right now so I'll try to spend some more time on here and catch up on what I've missed. I want to find someone who knows about programming fixed wing & quadcopter "Drone" flight control boards .... Didn't you use an autopilot to fly over your Game Reserve Tony? ...... That may be a good starting point.

I think you will find at this time of year (and current weather!) most forums quieter than normal. In addition as with most model planes forums the majority of the posts come from a relatively small proportion of the total forum population.
As I write this there are 3 members and 35 guests logged on here.
This sort of ratio is fairly normal.
I note for the huge USA based RCgroups forum the same figures are 3000 members and 22000 guests!
This forum may be relatively small but many of the members do have a wealth of experience and expertise with hopefully not too many "axes to grind" that can just clutter up the topics on the larger forums.

Now retired I work as a volunteer with the Danish sea rescue service and run fishing trips in my own boat. Fairly new to rc aircraft I enjoy tinkering around & modifying just as much as flying them.
Kind regards, Dave.

Have a good read of the older threads, that will probably answer many of your questions, and many you haven't even thought of yet!
I've already replied to your query re the gyro, not that it will help much, as you cannot get seven channels from a six channel set!
if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Gear is on 5. Aux 1 goes to the gyro which is programmed to three modes; Off - STABILITY- RECOVERY. Aux one on the dx is assigned to a three position switch, in this case D. Travel is -100% position 1. 0% position 2. +100% position 3. Hope that all makes sense!
Kind regards Dave.
