I use that rare material called balsa, too, although a lot of the models I'm flying at the moment are foamys, for various reasons.
My first-ever successful flight was with a KK Mini-~Super, and single channel radio. The model flew great, the radio didn't work after take-off, so the model flew away, never to be seen again!

well it's been too many years with numerous ic and electric models flown with Phoenix at Lowestoft. A break for a couple of years and time for a different 'type' of return ie fpv fixed wing calling itself the parrot disco of all things - youtube tells me what it is but nobody else seems to have a story or two about the thing - so here i am waiting and 'listening' for many many comments
bi for now

Plenty to look at, though, and you might find something of interest.

I've tried a few times to make a comeback and the recent good flying weather has spurred me on once more, let's hope I stick with it this time.
For those of you who don't know, I'm the guy who owns the site, my son Mike (Admin) built it for me back in Jan 2011 and it's been growing ever since. I'd like to thank my friends Andy Sephton, Tony B and Klippy, they've been running the site in my absence and it's a testament to their ability and the quality of our members that not once in all the time I've been away have they had to phone me up or message me and tell me there's a problem with the site.
Thanks also to those of you that have made donations to the site, I normally send a personal thank you anyone who does and I shall have to start doing that again immediately. I'm not even sure what it costs to run the place now, I leave that to my son Mike. I've got a lot of catching up to do!
I'm determined to get my mojo back this time and get out flying soon, I hope to see many of you at the BMFA Nat's in August, (are they still on?) ..... Andy, Tony, if you're planning visiting any events during the summer, give me a call and I'll try to make it.
Cheers guys, .....
Pol. [badass]

All being well I'll certainly come flying with you, just let me know when you're ready.
What 35 Meg gear are you using?

Thanks mate. I've tried to make a comeback several times and I've lost heart when the pain killers have worn off. :lol:boz wrote: Nice to see you back pol, :woohoo:
I'm going to stick to it this time, Garry will be turning in his grave over the way I'm behaving at the moment, if it wasn't for Andy, Tony & Klippy keeping the place running I'd have lost it by now.
Ann and I are going to look into the disabled persons facilities at the BMFA's new National Center and hopefully we'll start spending some time there, I'll treat the place like a convalescent home if I can.

For your info, I'll be at the BMFA Nationals over the August Bank Holiday at Barkston Heath. I'll be travelling from home daily and will only be there Saturday and Sunday.
