I've been joining different forums to find one I like after ditching the RCM&E one and have been directed here.
I'm a returnee after the compulsory enforced break from the hobby through a growing family, career and mortgage commitments. I look forward to increasing my knowledge and contributing where I can.
My interests are in traditional builds from plans, IC engines and I have a hankering for dabbling in own design, I'm not really into electric but do see the attraction of it (is there a pun there?) and plan to become more aquainted to it for some EDF jets in the future.
Regards

@Dave - yes Tesla windscreens aren't cheap things! I've been watching Bjorn Nyland on the tube, and his crazy antics with them, doing his best to break them, and then complaining about the cost of parts!
if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

I've just realised I've posted as a reply to a thread rather than to the topic, my apologies, I'm still feeling my way around the layout, I will get there though!

Quite a few modellers don't like them, they say they're too fussy probably because they don't understand that rather than the 2 standard adjustment set ups you get on most 2 strokes (main needle and slow running) they have a 3rd where you can also rotate the main needle barrel to alter the transition, once they're properly adjusted they're reliable, powerful and tick over nicely, they're also pretty cheap to pick up nowadays, the Italian made versions with Q Silencer being (IMO) the best.

The shop is run by the mother and son of the guy who owned it
He died and left quite a bit of dept because he used to order in bulk to get the best prices
Abserlutly crammed with stuff and it was a big shop, and according to his wife there was even more upstairs in the store room
