I have started making plastic kits, mainly because of the rubbish weather we have had this year and the lack of flying opportunities.

I decided to specialise in 1/35 WW2 German tanks and armoured cars, although I also do aircraft. As I am limited in the amount of spray painting I can do, I think that tanks are easier to finish properly because can be brush painted, as they mostly were in the real world, and any dodgy joints can be disguised with mud, grease etc. effects. Painting aircraft can be more demanding especially bright metal finish.

I have built the Me163 in the past, nice kit, am doing a 'Dambusters' Lancaster diorama at the moment, will add pictures when it is finished. (And when I find out how to!)
I built a 1/32 Airfix kit BAC TSR-2 recently, I was very disappointed with it, not very scale, poor details and misleading instructions.

hello harry
you wouldn't still have the instructions for the tsr2.
i have a plan for a nice rc model, but details of scale from the airfix instructions would be useful in the build.

sorry sky, your planes are looking great though.

Sorry, Tony, I built the model and was so fed up with it I didn't paint it. I kept it a few months and then put it on ebay. The instructions and decals went with it. There are plenty of places on the net with good details, the TSR-2 book by Tim McLelland is good too.

I do have a couple of photos of the original at RAF Cosford if you are interested.

Apparently one of the noisiest choppers ever built!

Do it now, you may never get another chance
