motor mount is in and drying.
next job is to take a look at the battery tray, then see if i can hide it all under a dummy engine. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

well the motor fits in place.
the battery goes here.
making up dummy cylinders.
need to cut a bit out of the motor plate to allow for the rest of the cylinders, though i have added extra bracing between the firewall and battery tray.

well
got out to the shed.
sat down and went hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
1 hour later we have this.
not great, but as it will only be seen when i change the batteries why worry too much.
need to tidy it up and make a crankcase and slop some paint about.
then some wiring and then make up the battery cover and add some more wiring.

Just read this from start Tony,what a lovely model and wonderful job you are making of it.Such an unusual construction with the balsa dowel,something I have not sen before or even contemplated.
Can't wait to see rest of build.
Re the split wing fixing have you seen the DB Sport and Scale ones? I got a set to modify my CAP Tiger Moth one when I get to the wing build, looks very good and servicable.
Can you answer a question for me please, what is the blue actuator for under the cowl?![[badass]](/media/kunena/emoticons/bad_boys_20.gif "[badass]")

The blue actuator - it's a clever device that converts electrons into heat, so you can warm your hands, in winter.
It has the reverse effect of that greasy lump under the cowl of a full-size aircraft, which keeps the pilot cool. Did I hear you say it doesn't? Just watch him sweat if it stops while the 'plane is flying!

well not much done today, had a day off lounging round the house.
