four 3mm ply ribs and 2 bits of 5mm offcuts of wire and some 6mm balsa later.
the wire sits on top of the spruce uprights to set the incidence.
The plan is to fill in between each pair of ribs with 6mm balsa and then once i have run the wing mount rods through, glue the whole lot in place with epoxy.
i can set the width of the cabin top then as well.
the wings will have tubes set into the first 3 ribs each side to accept the wire.
will have to make up some mounts to lock them onto the center section and then finish all the glazing wires off.

need to order some more wood so i can cut the spars, so it will go on hold for a while again.
though if i can find some 3mm piano wire i might have a look at the glazing and cabin bracing wires, or i could start making up the seats.

If you really want to impress (or be a geek) the G-INFO database (Google GINFO) holds the record for every plane ever put on the UK civil register!
And just to show how geeky this is the entry for G-BXKX
It has two more pictures and even the name and address of the owner.

ROFL I am about as likely to impress anyone as I am to wake up to a Claudia Schiffers body transplant! I just liked the Auster on Foyles war and did some research cos unlike you clever bods I am useless at knowing and remembering aircraft at the moment without intensive research!Quorneng wrote: Sarah

Tony - what had that cabinet done wrong - to deserve being hung for it?
if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!
