i can now carry on making 27 seats with head rests.
not sure about fitting the curtains though, that might be a step too far.

been working on the seats and tables on and off today.
long slow fiddly job, but we will get there in time. no rush.
seat with the table for the seat behind.
got some pics that show blue seats with green walls.

1930s flying was never intended for the great unwashed!
Even a return trip to Paris cost getting on for £1000 in today's money. The 11 day trip to Australia was relatively better value at about £15000, however the luggage allowance was minimal so you really had to factor in the additional cost of sending it by sea beforehand!

i have been sent loads of internal pictures showing all sorts of different layouts and colour schemes.
Green seem to be the favourite colour for the internal panelling.
but the seats vary from cream, to blue, to green.
so i have elected to go for blue.
sore back later, we have 27 seats painted.
need to get some green paint so i can paint the internal panels tomorrow.
then i can glue the acetate windows in and look at making the curtains and ladders.
i wonder what colour the floor would have been. hmmmmmmmmmmm

It appears the initial European routes were started by the Ensign in October 1938.
There were 11 delivered to Imperial airways by September 1939 and these were all pressed into military service when all civil flying ceased.
