Undersides of the outer nacelles blended into the wing now.
The tops will be left open so i can fit the esc's and wiring.



Need to design the inners so that they will take the retracts and the long legs and large wheels.
this will be fun

Had some free time this morning, so i cracked on with making the cores for the inner nacelles.



Retract mounts have been built into them as well.

And they go in here like this.


need to design the formers now.

Formers designed and cut out, and they fit a well. "wow"



so i am now waiting for motors, esc's and retracts now before i can do any more.

Been working on the wheel wells today.

The white bits are the tops of the wheel wells.

The motors turned up this morning, so i have started fitting them.
esc wiring tomorrow i hope.

Good luck with that I've forgotten how to do wiring LOL

I have had way to many other jobs to do today, so all i have got done is to make the dihedral braces.

had to pack them out with some wedges as the spars angle back a touch.

at least it is another job done.

Today has been a comedy of errors type day.
started making the battery box from 3mm ply.
cut air holes in the base and then started gluing it all together.
only to find when it had been built that i had put the base on the side.
so i then had to cut matching holes in the other side, which was not easy with it all assembled.



Still it is done and fitted now.

Then i started work on the cockpit area.
made up the sides and glued them home, then made up the roof and glued it in.
realised that by doing that i could not get into the cockpit to fit the seats and controls.
so i had to unstick the roof and put it to one side.

made the seats, but made them too tall, so i had to cut them down.

starting to come together at last.

had enough for today, so i will be slobbing off now for the rest of the evening.

Cockpit detail done.
it is not having any more as it is too fiddly for my shaky hands and fat fingers.



i can now move onto the battery hatch.

With my shaky hands I couldn't have done that at all.

Cockpit is now framed up and ready for glazing, but that will be another day.





Back to the battery hatch tomorrow... i hope.

Battery hatch cover made. i used layers of 6mm depron and then sanded to shape.



once happy i stuck some white 3mm over the grey and job sorted.



Then i started the engine cowls.
these are made from rolled 3mm stuck onto 2x 6mm formers and then just stuck on.






ariel made and just pushed in place for now.

We plod on.
