Been Flying

Took my own design low wing blue foam thing.
used to have a hell of a job with tip stalling on take off, so much that i broke the wing in half and threw it in the corner.

i finally got round to fixing it.
second time out now and we have just about got the hang of it .
low rates on the tx and with a longish run she hops into the air in a scale like manner.
aileron trim is a bit out but than can be sorted.

four good flights today.
getting the feel of the large barn door ailerons, a few loops and a couple of gentle rolls as well.

batteries on charge ready for tomorrow weather and birthday allowing.

i need to paint it as a blue plane against a blue sky is interesting.

That looks an evil thing Tony, but so long as it flys what the hell? Blue model, blue sky, not good.

Yellow seems to stand out well for me in most conditions, but this can differ from person to person.

It looks a beast of a thing

put it this way, its almost a 3d machine.
when on full throws i cant keep up with it.
so for now half throws and some gentle pottering.

last flight of the day, with onboard camera, and she spiralled in.

its when you say, " just 1 more flight" that things go wrong big time.

Been foggy here all day.
no flying.

been out instead.

Dont fly at weekends, and would not have stood a chance today as vis. down to 50 yds all day. No wind, therefore nothing to move the fog.

The wing and boom survived ok,
fuse completely died.

Had onboard camera, but it didn't save the footage which was a shame.

Will have a go at making something for it.
