Been Flying

Sorry to rub it in lads, but what a super day for flying today. No wind, clear sky, sun, and COLD.

The new flying site is fantastic, there are only 2 rules, and no committee . Rule 1 . Dont loose the key. Rule 2 . Fly safe. Are there any more rules needed ??.

I am not telling how many flights I had as Beard gets upset:) . Suffice to say that there are 11 4s 5000 mah Lipos to be charged. I love retirement

This week every time its been good for flying ive been hanging around waiting for people to turn up to look at cars and they havent. today they did. the weather looks good for the weekend and the next customer is monday.

had to wait for the mist to clear, but i have just had 2 hours flying 3 channel electric glider.
dead calm, not a breath of wind.
hand launch, take her up to height and glide down at 6 ft from the ground open her up again and do it all over.

done a few loops under power and a wee bit of inverted.
but mainly just stooging around doing circuits and figure of 8's.
450ma batts don't last long do they.
charging my 2200 3s now and might try again later.

sorry not much in the way of building done today.

Dont worry about the building Tony, get some fresh air into your lungs. We can go flying any day, you cant due to school hours. Well done Son

just back from another 1/2 hour of stooging around.

sun behind me, keeping my back warm.
gentle pottering about in a clear blue sky.
had a chat with a dog walker.
nice afternoon.

Bit mixed today but turned out ok in the end..Arrived at the field quite thick fog,sunny everywhere else.it lifted and there was a small area that was ok ,so i gently flew the Fun Cub,halfway through my Tx starting bleeping in a panic stricken way ,I landed ,the voltage was to low.just checked and although I charged it and the swift last night I did it in a new place,helps if you switch the socket on.I have a charger on board so put it on charge.After waiting 1 and half hours someone phoned to say they wanted to look at a car,so packed up and came home.After they hadnt bought it,I went back to the field and on my fifth flight decided it was getting to cold and came home,batteries on charge,my charger does 1 at a time,.

I went to fly this morning, we have had 5 days when it has rained at some point, this morning was sunny, clear blue skys, 17 deg, slight breeze, took 3 planes chocy biscuits and coffee,
when i got there there, ( we fly on a salt lake ) it was bloody flooded.

At long last Tony, you are finding what this model flying is all about. Its about enjoyment!!!

All done it Beard. My last one was leaving TX on all night. Thank goodness I had the DX 6i as backup

All the batteries are recharged,just checked the Tx is charged up and the model also,Im having a simple day tomorrow with the Fun cub and Swift,it was very cold today and doesnt look much warmer tomorrow.A hot bath afterwards to warm back up feels good.

just back from another hour.
bit windier today, so the batteries didn't last as long.

still just stooged around, flew higher this time to max the glide.

must save for some bigger batteries.
