Not quite sure about the dihedral. I suppose it depends on how you measure it.
This 3 view seems to suggest the dihedral on the underside of the wing starts in the centre.

It was a very thick wing section at the root.

Hmmm - thinkin' time!!

I wonder why they used a nearly symmetrical section on an aircraft that would never be flown inverted? (Same thinking as parachutes and crash-hats for kamikaze pilots?).

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

Have to agree with Quorneng - it's a bit of a grey area and depends how you interpret the 3 views. Convention usually dictates that dihedral angle is measured on the centre line but if you throw in different airfoils and different opinions it's almost a matter of taking your best guess.

well it shows on the plan as set at the wing center line, the top of the center section is flat.
it might not be fully scale, but it will be near enough. i hope.

When it comes down to it Tony it's your model and you can build it how ever you want - Any scale model will be bound to displease some one no matter how hard you try to get it right. I've found that out in scale competitions - there is always some bloody judge who will mark you down because he doesn't like the colour of the weathering or because he's sure that some other thing is wrong.

Bugger 'em I say - if I wanna build a purple Mustang with green stripes then I will!

Here's a purple mustang - can't find one with green stripes, though!

I'll get told off by Tony now, for posting irrelevant and irreverent comments!

Oh, just noticed - wrong kind of Mustang!

If you recall the discussion about the pod under the nose of a Heinkel - here's a good photo of one -

In that pic, the pod looks like a wind-driven generator, to me.

I've taken a day off & I've managed to catch up on some of the threads. I keep coming across one of your builds, just how many have you got on the go at the moment? ..... You're like a one man factory! :cheer:
