i need to reduce the sheer amount of parts in this model somehow.
i feel it is going to be too complicated to cut out all the parts needed to build, plus the weight is creeping up.

cover the tailplane with 3mm depron sheet.

then paint with diluted pva and leave to dry.
cut a piece of brown paper and wet the inside with more diluted pva.
then slop it on top of the pva'd tailplane and smooth out.
add yet more pva to the outside of the brown paper and leave to dry.

elevators sheeted and ready for covering.
fin and rudder covered and drying.
the other tailplane is half sheeted and will be ready for covering tomorrow.
not covering the elevators until i have finished shaping them to match the tailplanes..

Looks in better condition than the one I saw in bits at Duxford, a few years back!

Tony
3lbs 10oz
Is all going to get the brown paper treatment overall?
Final weight 5lbs+?
Its going to need quite a bit of 'push'.
I doubt there will be a problem obtaining a suitable CofG after all you always have the battery. ;)

Yes, you can tape it to a three foot pole, and glue it on the back end, Watch the prop though
