BB, if you have NO volts, and NO amps, you have the lipo's connected up wrong, or the wattmeter is connected wrong.

Can you plug it all together, including the wattmeter, and p[ost the pic on here so we can look at it?

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

I can only agree with Eric BB, if nothing on the watt meter then the wiring system is wrong. Dont forget a picture is better than a thousand words. Leys have a look please.

Ok BB, let's try this, you've got a setup that works in the wreckage of the model you just totalled. Can I suggest that you set it up on the bench, without a prop and make sure it's still working by running it up. No unknown parts, just a standard working setup, and we'll start from there. I've asked Eric and Garry to look over our shoulders and shout if necessary.
So, on the bench we'll have a motor (Scorpion, 1 mounting lug screwed to a lump of MDF), an ESC, a Lipo and a receiver. Let me know when it works.

Ok i have sorted the problem i was having with the high/low voltage message from the esc.
I sat down this afternoon and went through it all again and came up with the same answer nothing wrong with the wireing, but still getting no reading on the watt meter so i put another one on, the same make i have three of them,it read just a row of black squares, it did not work at all, never had it out of the box so it was knackard from the start.
I put the thired one on and got a proper reading with the volts and everything else, the lipo was ok, i rig it to the motor set up from the crash as klipy sugested everything working ok i took the readings .
i connected to the fans, same low/high message, i went back to the instructions for the esc and there it was the reason for the problem, nothing to do with the voltage, it was the trottle setting
i followed the instructions, turn on transmiter open throttle connect lipo close throttle, i had to do it a couple of times disconnect lipo connect back up and bingo away it went on 12s pulling 6,75kg
95A
I was a happy chappy connected the other fan went through the same thing and fire it up,
it viabrated that much it pulled the 15mm screws out of the mounting, lander fans are all balance in the factory i must have got the friday afternoon one
Took it apart and balanced the fan put it back together and away it went.
I then fired both of them up and it was incredable noise and power, shut them down checked them over everything ok, fired them up again got to about two thireds throttle and the esc on the first one burst into flames, attached pics
I suspect Hobbywing 120a HV opto escs cannot handle 12s as is stated in the info for them.
So im back to square one with it and not a happy chappy

and this is the watt meter, all of this stuff came from giant cod, it will be going back with my wishes

Did you happen to notice what amps or watts the meter was showing, before the esc toasted itself?

You seem to be going through a really rough patch, mate!

Well BB, glad you got some kind of result. It would seem that you are pushing the envelope by running on 12S. The ESC that imolated itself, is that the one that was driving the 'out of balance' fan? If so then send that fan back to Lander, there's some sort of issue with it!
Given the reputation that Lander have, I doubt they'd send out an untested item.

does it need 12s as the power output on the 10's would be enough to launch it into orbit surely.

No it is not the one driving the dodgy fan Klipy, and Tony i think 10s would put it in the air, but the bloody esc's are marketed at being up to 12s, the smaller Hobbywing esc's i have are very good,
but now i think if anyone is going to deal in the high voltage stuff i can only say to them buy the best there is out there, it's cheaper in the end, and you will not get the frustration i have had.
To say nothing of the expence and i now have to buy the best out there, maybe 200a if i can find one, make that two.
Have emailed Giant Cod but i think we know the answer from them.

I dont have money to burn Klipy nor to waste, the cost of this project is now taking money from other things i wanted to do.
When i was held last year i promised myself several things i would do and this is one of them.
What little money i do have i mean to enjoy and not leave it for others to piss up the wall.

You have taken on an enormous project and deserve better results from your efforts.I do think that retailers takes us for a ride when supplying items that if they checked out properly we should be advised they were not fit for the purpose we intended them.
