Piccies will follow, I've just had a day off today. .... I'm serious if you want to fly it .... if you crash it then so be it. I don't want to sit & look at a pretty model, it's a tool or a toy & it has to be played with whatever the consequences .... I'm still waiting for you to say when you want to try slope soaring at the Orme ... I've got the models ready & waiting.willowlea wrote:

If that's what you want, ... you'll be off on your own after a few minutes & we can then get stuck into some combat .... you cannot damage these models, you can crash them into the cliff face.willowlea wrote: You buddy box me if I bring my TX?

I can use them on 2.4gHz with a buddy lead if you have a Specky Tx or we could use 35MHz & I have two JR Tx's .... it's all ready, all you have to bring is yourself.

You're putting the wind up me by going on about the landing speed of this thing.... It's a 60 inch span model weighing 5 -6 lbs..... why should it be any faster on the glide than any other similar model?The Beard wrote: Yes Pol the u/c came off with not much of a landing.Mine didnt like slowing down so the landing speed tended to be at the point where the model would bounce back up.The problem was it tended to bounce into a roll and cartwheel
For those who don't know, I phoned Stephen for his opinion on this model before I ordered it. I remembered that he'd had one.

Racers are pretty slippery beasts, and unless you can get in a long low approach, you may have trouble with the lack of airbrakes.

I've got a 3548 1100Kv motor which would probably be fine... but the mountings are wrong.
This thing seems to want to mount from behind the firewall ... Eric has suggested that I may be able to reverse the shaft, & this would seem to be the logical choice.
I've also got a 980 Watt 800KV motor which I think would make the thing have multiple orgasms.
Third alternative may be this & I need to order it now If it's a a good choice.

But it's still the wrong mounting!... although that is moderately easy to sort out.;

then you only have to drill a hole to take the shaft in the fire wall and mount how you want.
i use them motors in all my stuff with the prop drive adapter.

I would have thought the suggested motor would have been an easy job to fit ... I'm not a bad builder & it will be easy to adapt any motor to fit ... but for review purposes this could be a problem to a beginner.
Having said all that ... they do make it clear that this model is only for advanced boffins like me.

Every time I get to the check out it says my cart is empty.
I've messaged HK & told them the problem, let's see what response I get before I rip the crap out of them.
