It looks like there are 4 screw holes at the back of the motor you have, so just get a mounting plate or bracket to bolt the motor to the bracket and then the bracket to the fire wall.
if you need to extend the fire wall just build a box the length you need to get the prop and spinner in the right place
Im doing the same on my Revolver

the bit that the the shaft goes through fixes to the firewall and the shaft rotates with the can.

you can get an adapter that bolts onto the end of the can with 3 allen bolts, that takes the prop.

The silver end on the right of the picture is attached to the wires ... the black can is the bit that rotates & takes the shaft with it.
This means that the mounting bracket is at the silver end with the wires & the can would be behind the firewall.
Oddly enough, there are mounting holes on the other end on the can as well.... but that would mean the wires had to spin.
I want the motor can to be in front of the firewall to move the weight forward & let the prop stick out of the cowl.
It's easily done with a few extensions but it would just have been easier if the motor had been reversed to a rear mount.

That could be because you can loosen the grub screws at each end of the motor and then push the shaft through so that it sticks out of the other end but it takes some pushing.

I have to confess to having a complete blonde moment here & I must admit that I was tempted to delete a few posts & back track the thread so I didn't look like such a PRATT!!!!!!.
However, .... I'll take my punishment & admit that I couldn't see the wood for the trees & my mind was locked on only using the compression fit type of prop adapter that fits onto the shaft ..... not the type that bolts onto the can.
I've just received a new motor for this model anyway .... it's the same size but a bit more powerful, this one is a 3548 size (recommended) ... but it's 815 Watts, which will give me a lot more grunt.

I've also received the correct mounting brackets & prop' adapters & I'll try to get started on this again as soon as I've completed the rest of the mundane tasks that plague my sorry existence.

Yeh, yeh, yeh, Ok Bob the Builder...... Mumble, grumble ...... I know how to face a real problem ..... I remember when you joined the forum!

I'll check the measurements tomorrow, but I've got a feeling that even with the recommended size motor, I think I may have to move the firewall back a touch, otherwise there may be a bit too much of a gap between the spinner & the cowl .... It'll all come out in the wash.

I'm so sorry to hear you've succombed to the lekky disease.I did for a while but I'm better now.However,I do have an easy glider I havn't flown yet .Bought it to make use of those dangerous batteries I was told I needed for the other horribly quiet machines I've built .My biggest mistake was converting a "Trixie" from a 15 to lectric .Bent prop shaft second flight and after adding extra weight cos the C ofG was apparently way out .
Apart from all that -How the devil are you all? I had a bit of a stroke and am a bit wobbly on my feet so no flying for months.In fact ,I seem to have lost confidence in lots of fields (those with trees in in particular )Bye for now .Taken me ages to find my password etc
