Apart from all that -How the devil are you all? I had a bit of a stroke and am a bit wobbly on my feet so no flying for months. In fact ,I seem to have lost confidence in lots of fields (those with trees in in particular )Bye for now .Taken me ages to find my password etc

Ahhhh - Another Member of the exclusive Grumpy Clan - and obviously a gentleman and a scholar even though it appears he was tempted to the dark side. I'm sure he now understands that converting from "proper" engines to ones powered by those "dangerous batteries" is a path bound to lead to failure and disappointment.
Sorry to hear you have had some health issues Grumpy 9 but now is an ideal time to return to the fray - the evil Lecky Wizard - other wise known as the Gasser - is down with some strange ailment - undoubtedly caused by his meddling in the dark arts. Welcome back - I have done my best to defend the good name of proper engines in your absence.

Oh the joys of owning a forum..... anyone want a job?
Seriously, this is what I love about this place, .... this is my thread & I can decide how I want it to pan out .... You can all do the same when you start your own threads ..... you decide how you want it to go ..... Garry & Klippy will make sure it stays in the right direction.

I'll post the piccies shortly, but let's just say that HobbyKing might want to look at a few details.
If you screw the spats in place according to the destructions, ..... the blighter won't sit down at the tail end.... not a major problem, but one they could work on.
The undercarriage don't fit & it cracks the fuz when you tighten it.
There's lots of bits like this, but they do say it's for the experienced modeller.
All will become clear when I post the piccies & it'll be even more exciting when I have to maiden the b****r & Garrymodder will be splitting his sides.
I wish Scott would jump in here .... I won't slag off HK if we get loads of freebies to review ...... Nah, just kidding, we do honest reviews
I have been defending HK on RC universe in this thread.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

I made the mistake of using an Orange receiver without a satellite & the range just wasn't up to it. Garry was flying it at the time & he shouted to me that he'd lost all control, we could do nothing but watch as it spiraled in.
It's been put on ice since then, but it's going to get a reprieve & be put back together. ..... here's what I've got to fix.

My approach is to refit as many scraps of the remains as possible first.
My logic in this is that the basic geometry is easier to get right if all the old bits fit. The original structure had the correct side & down thrust built into the bulkhead or firewall ... I'd like to get this exactly the same.
I'll strengthen all the glued areas later, but for now I'm lining up & tacking pieces like this .... the bit where I wrote down the balance point is nice & easy .... just match up my handwriting.

They are very fine & wont split the wood, but they're only very short & suitable for thin sheet .... does anyone know of any diabetic thick skinned elephants? .... the vets might have longer ones.
