That section looks like the classic 'supercritical' section used on aircraft that fly at mid-subsonic speeds. It has a bulbous lower surface and an under cambered flap at the back.

Are you building this one from a plan BB, or designing it yourself. If it's the latter, I'd consider changing the section to something a bit more friendly at model aircraft speeds. A supercritical section may not work effectively at the Reynolds Numbers we fly at.

That looks like one of the Wortmann glider sections, with that flat on the front upper, and the hint of undercamber. If I recall, not very successful in model sizes, as Andy said. Have a look at Eppler 374, if you can find the co-ords, a much better model size section, and reasonably thick for stiffness.

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!

The flat on the top is only on the section of wing between the fuselage and the under carriage housing, there is a sectioned part that fits on there like a leading edge flap, Making it up as I go along mainly Andy, I will do a normal section then thanks for the input

Here is the new wing rib

Had to redo the fairing between the engine pod and the fuselage as the resin never hardened

I need a canon on the front, thought about what I could make it from, so decided to do it in fibre glass
So got some chemi wood and started carving

I drilled indents where the holes will go, put some black paint in them so they would show up

Gave the plugs and coat of resin

I do hope you are going to glass-up that cannon in two halves - otherwise those drilled indents will not let the cast off the plug!

Spent a lot of time sanding and filling the plugs from the engine housings, also filled in the indents in the canon, j miscounted the barrels :S I had eight. there are only seven
Then I gave them a few coats of paint, more filling and sanding to follow

I drew and cut out a full set of 28 ribs, still some work to do on them yet

It might be camera distortion, but that l/h wing, top pic, looks to have the ribs upside down! :P
