Because the turbine has to spin up, and down, there're no sudden shock loads, it's all smooth and gentle, like a babies bum!

The turbines are great to start the one i have i just slide the throttle trim lever to the top open the throttle wait for it to spool up then close the throttle, thats it
ready to go and when it lands taxi back close the throttle trim it go's into cooling mode and it shuts off automaticlly
No flicking props no messy fuel nothing to clean down only brush the sand off the wheels
I know Garry dose not like them

Are you talking about the turbine or my modelling being straight forward !!!as for the money i worked and i mean worked hard manual graft 7 days a week 12 hours a day for years without holidays and when i retired and that was only when the Turks threw me in jail, i promised myself a few things and my planes are some of them.
And i dont spend all my time modelling, i am at the moment looking for some sort of job anything will do as i miss working.
