Been Flying

Just had another good day, bright sunshine 12 degrees, and a 20 mph wind, gusting to 35 mph.

to say it was challenging would be an understatement . However, no damage, so that is a bonus

well done sir.

Looks as if summer is here at last three days of sunshine and warm temp.
And im off flying in the morning, first time for weeks.

nice day here.
but.............................
had to wait for the football practice to finish, then we went for a bit of flying.
wind picked up, so i only got 2 flights in.
then the hovercraft man turned up and that put the kibosh on any more flying.
so i went back to building hurricanes.

Went flying this morning, got there no wind the sun nice and warm,connected up my own design leccy, two or three bleeps from the esc and nothing, tried different lipos , nothing the receiver was dead, i could not get to the bottom of it so i got out my glider had a coffee and the wind got up,
so i thought bad vibes so i packed up and drove 30kl back home,
tested the leccy still nothing,connected a battery to the receiver it was ok, thought it must be the
esc took the model apart removed the switch and undercarrage then i thought THE SWITCH stupid
Tony had not switched it on so no power and im going to fly the Blackbird.
And i have not been flying for five weeks because of the weather.

Lovely sunshine very little wind so off to the field with Fun Cub 4 very good flights all with my new camera. Only the 2nd flight seems to have recorded but im looking into things.Very enjoyable day not many people good fun.A new guy turned up has flown in the passed.Took off with his very tail heavy Puppeteer on its maiden,.Flew straight into the sun.somehow managed to keep it in the air,proceeded to dive bomb all of us in the pitts seem to get a semblance of control and actually made a good landing.The majority opinion was it was tail heavy but he insisted the C of G was right.2nd flight was better because he wasnt dive bombing us ,but it continued to struggle with tail down it then tip stalled into the ground and I gave him 200 grams of weight and told him to stick that up front before he tried again.The point seemed to get home.

looking forward to your video- yeah some people go by the book on cg even when it is wrong- I always prefer to be a tad nose heavy myself-

BB, dont be too hard on yourself. I have only one model with a switch cos it has a seperate BEC, and I have done exactly the same thing. Its easy done.

Great days flying today took 3 models the Fun Cub,Swift,and Radio Queen ,lots of people lots of fun thoroughly enjoyable day plenty of flying

well i got 1 hours worth in today.

no probs at all, it still wont do inverted all that well.
still some nice flights and no crashes.

The guy from yesterday arrived with his puppeteer and had taken our advise and put 150 grams on the front and it flew superbly.

Some nice pictures there Beard looks a nice busy day, like the B-17.
I had a few good flights today to apart from having a run in with a hedge, no real damage tiny dent on the leading edge, and typically the last flight of the day the rear section of my silencer fell off in flight, no idea where it fell!!
