Nice one Tony, I might even join you in the build!

I was fortunate enough to fly the Varsity in the 1980s while working as a test pilot at Farnborough. The aircraft I flew is currently in the museum at Cosford. I've been trying to find a model of the type for a number of years, be it static or flying, but I've failed on all counts. So this one should fill a BIG hole in the market!

Did much of my Avionics training on Brunel's Varsity in the late seventies, early eighties...... solid machine if ever there was...

It wasn't always all work......

well that did re ignite the desire to build a vickers twin.
i was going to do the viking, but the varsity is just as good.

25 A3 sheets of paper later, we have the fuelage plan printed off.
i can spend a few hours now joining all the sheets together.
then i can cut some formers and fuselage cores.

Well i have had some fun sticking all the plan parts together.
All the fuselage formers have been cut from 6mm Depron.

Fuselage cores cut out of 3mm Depron.

Next job is to mark out all the former positions and glue each half of the fuselage cores together, then i can glue the formers down and start sheeting.
