As this is only a sport scale model i decided to just paint the windows on.
the door will just be drawn on in pencil as will the panel lines, then i will slop three layers of sealer over the lot when finished.

cockpit tomorrow i think.

Looking fantastic. :)

I'm so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I'm saying.

painted the reg numbers on the underside of the main wings today.

covered the flaps and ailerons.
covered the battery hatch/cockpit.

have to look at the esc's and final wiring tomorrow, that just leaves the u/c legs and we can finish it all off at last.

well i took a week off from this one to get some FF models ready for last weekend.
ended up not flying as the wind was too strong. ho hum.

i decided that the black blobs for windows did just not look right.
so rather than cut them all out, which i suspect would have weakened the fuselage structure.
I have just cut some acetate sheet to size and stuck it over the painted windows.
I then added some frames made from strips of 1mm white Depron, these will be painted red when i have finished them all.

I just don't have the skill or eye for full detail it seems, but i think that from a distance this will look fine.
well fine enough for me anyway. ;)

I think you might have been a bit generous with the height of the windows. According to this drawing they are actually slightly wider than they are tall.

Just tell everyone that the particular airframe you modelled had panoramic windows fitted! :P

if you are calm and collected when all about you are going berserk - you've missed something important!
