What happened to 'Old Ugly' and his Lysander? Did it fly successfully?

I just did a search for him, his last post was last March. I hope it wasn't his last post!

Nothing to do with RC planes but I think I have found the worlds most complex pair of hinges and taken from a lap top. Its a geared hinge!

Left is the complete hinge as removed. On the right are all the parts. 16 plain washers, 4 spring washers. 3 skew gears, 4 mounting plates and 2 nuts. Add in the two hinge plates themselves makes a total of 31 pieces.
It appears the hinge can be set stiff enough to hold the screen at any set angle yet can open out flat.
I wonder how and by whom the hinge is assembled and all just for a lap top.

I had enough hassle getting mine to pieces so I could put some more ram in - and now it is so old it is effectively clockwork anyway! - - Spares? What are they?

I remember in the late 50's there was always a 2 seat Spitfire in powder blue parked at Eastleigh airport (Southamton) I was told it belonged to a famous comedian.

I appreciate he explained it was not printed in the correct LW-PLA but do snowy Owls really fly that fast?
I suspect it was its speed that made it elevator sensitive and thus hard to make a smooth "final" for landing.
