Maybe we should range check whilst using a mobile? .... it puts the receiver to a more rigorous test. If you've still got the range, with a mobile right next to the Rx, .... then I don't think you have any worries.

The original problem for us when using mobile phones was the slight possibility that the transmitter PROGRAMING might be affected. A very few used this to escape being embarased by pilot error.

Was this a proven and ongoing problem we would be hearing of it happeniong every day. I know of a lot of very well known pilot/modelers who regularly have a live mobile phone while flying.

Same thing applies at Langar Stephen, in fact it is now in the rule book, but it is not because the mobile can interfere with the TX signal, that has been proved to be nonesense. Their reason is that as the pilots fly in the "Pilots Box" if a mobile rings it could distract other flyers. The rule states that you must leave it in the car. No restrictions at all at Swinderby.

It wasnt mentioned Stephan as I am not a back stabber, you must have felt bad enough yourself.

I must add that I have used Specky for over 6 yrs and the radio has never faulted.

Only speaking of my own experience with 3 New Spectrums Tony,every little helps.Ive just suggested to Dean he doesny buy a Rover 75 from trade experience is it so bad to let people know of personal problems.

personal experience is fine beard.
i was just commenting on how people keep saying spectrum is bad.
i have had no problems with my spectrum.
you have had problems with yours, it balances out.

Yes I agree with you Tony its as you find it.My Travel Air definitely lost all signal and thats the 1st time Ove had that with the futaba.Ive flown3 models since then with no prnblems and suspect the model as opposed to the Tx.Time will tell.mind you Im sure Spectrum improve constantly.

Gave the Travel Air its maiden and this is the first time Ive flown something unknown and it was fun.Needs setting up on the ground ran out of trim on the rudder and ailerins for some reason,It all looks fine on the ground but pulls left in the air.Also looks as of its flying nose up.Deadstick landing took the undercart off.

C of G wrong, and not enough right sidethrust ???

If it's flying okay but nose up then it requires 2 degrees of down thrust.

Had two. both needed a bit more right and down thrust.

It flies superbly needs trimming.
