well after losing the morning to a migraine, i got a little bit done this afternoon.
i know they are not great, but i just cannot carve figures. :(









need to sort the faces out and fit the aimers glass, then look at the nose art.

first find a picture and copy it.
then colour it in.


then do some writing.
cut it all out and stick on the fuselage.

But to be strictly scale I thought the RAF were a bit stuffy about any sort of 'nose art'.

started doing some markings on the nose.


Now i have a poster of a Lancaster taken in 1945, it shows some interesting paint lines on her.
so i thought "that is unusual" hence the following picture.


i can always re paint later. :P

our town is way ahead of you, would you believe, although the buildings are still there, there isnt a single memorial to the 3000 lancs made in my town, shamefull, innit?

yes it is bloody shameful, but then the bomber boys were classed as second class citizens after the war. :(
when you think that boys the same age as my son died in their thousands for this country, the modern government should be ashamed of them selves.

Yes, Tony, if they were 23, they were old men!
When you consider that most 23 year-olds now aren't fit to control an x-box, never mind anything complex like a 50cc scoot.....

This is looking great Tony, liking the pilot/gunner figures, brothers of the P-51's pilot? haha they look great!

Not much to report today i am afraid.
drew the panel lines on the nose and sealed the paint with a coat of polyc.
finished the first coat of paint on the canopy.

thats it. :(
some jobs take forever to do.
