not got much done today, was my ma in laws 80'th birthday. so i have been out for most of it.

got the rest of the fuselage covered and slopped some black on it.

Nice job Tony - it's starting to look like a Lancaster now - as it should after the countless hours you've put into it. I might even get motivated after I finish off a couple more jobs and get back to mine.

One thing I admired when I saw the Hurri' that you did for Garry was the way you manage to give old models the realistic "Old" appearance..... you've done the same with this one.
There's nothing worse than a WWii aircraft looking like it's just come of the assembly line & been polished by a car salesman.
Keep it up Tony .... just faster! :lol: :lol: :lol:

i am trying to go faster, just running out of steam a bit.

might take a break from it for a few days and finish off the mustang and start something else for a change of scenery.

been doing little bits here and there.
finished the underwing sheeting (as far as i can go anyway)
started the bomb bay section. (non working)

finished the battery hatches today.

glued the last bits of the leading edge on as well.



cut out all the sheet for the outer nacelle sides, just got to glue them all on and then curve round the formers.
be another long slow job. ho hum.

then i will have to wait for a sunny couple of days and sit out side sanding for hours and hours and hours.

think i will use light weight fiberglass matt with my polyc on the wings for added strength.
