the nose section is getting covered.

the wing sections are getting joined together.
they is BIG.

that's a 4ft building board.
when dry and when my half a ton of 1.6 balsa turns up, i can sheet the top of the wings and start on the engine nacels.

well here is 130 inches of wing, need to tips to take it to the full 134inches.

only just fits in my conservatory/build room.

wing tips fitted, will need shaping once i have sheeted the wings.

front section getting a coat of paint.

just trying a pair of nacelles for size.

and so we plod on.

bit of black.

sheeting the tops of the wings.

they are uncut 4ft long sheets of balsa.

once i have the tops all sheeted, we can turn them over and fit the nacelles.

well not much to report today, been flying.

nose section has some more paint on it.

the wings have some more wood glued to the top surface.

thats all folks.

been out there since 10 am and still don't look like i have done anything.
got some more sheet on the tops of the wings.

then i cut out all the nacelle parts and cut the battery holes in 8 formers.
glued the inner ones together ready for fitting.

got the first pair of nacelles fitted and drying.

Oh i marked round all the inner nacelle parts onto ply, ready to cut out for the Manchester (if it happens)

took some of the bits outside as i needed a boost as this one is taking forever to build.

got the next set of nacelles gluing on now and is working on the underside sheeting of one wing.
just doing the bits that do not cover any wiring runs.

Well after another couple of hours, we have the top of one wing sheeted and part of the underside sheeted as well.

After yet another couple of hours i have made the aileron servo mounts for both wings.
fitted the supports in one wing and nearly finished the sheeting (as far as i can go) on the wing.

this is killing me.
could have built a sports plane in the time i have spent on these wings so far.
