Although you wouldn't have thought it from the look on her miserable face as we were bouncing around, she is so ungrateful.
My pal's wife said to him this morning "how comes that you hardly talk to me these days," He replied "sorry but I didn't want to be rude and interupt you".

Slightly different scenario,
I had an incident with the local Fire Brigade, This is many years ago, myself and a friend were flying large gliders on what was a sports field (all above board no problems). I was flying a 3m sailplane with the "standard action man" piloting it. The one with a beard.
I came in over the trees,downwind leg, turned in to land.
At this point a troop of firemen climbed over the fence dressed in all the gear and came running into the field towards me .
After much panting the lead fireman said to his mate " Told you it wasn't a ******* real one" His mate said "it looked like a ****** real one".
I thought oh my god what now.... but they were all happy to look at it and have a twiggle with the sticks.
